I’m also developing the story of the original March Madness Cinderella team, the 1969-70 JU Dolphins. THEY CALLED US THE MOD SQUAD!
To launch the the story as a limited series, I’ve written the pilot/first episode, “The Big A. Has Landed”. Unfolding over that Apollo 11 weekend in the summer of 1969, it tells the story of Artis Gilmore, a future Basketball Hall of Fame Player recruited by two unknown college coaches to play for the smallest Division One school in the NCAA.
